This fun event has been an annual tradition in this little town of 450 residents since 1919 when the town found itself in desperate need of street lights. The ladies of the town took it upon themselves to make candy and fudge and hold a dance in order to raise money for the lights. They got their lights, and the event was such a success that it has continued ever since. Held the last full weekend of September, when there is just a hint of fall in the air, this is one of the area's most popular annual events. More than 300 vendors come from all over the west to display their wares. There's fun for everyone as thousands shop, eat, drink and dance. Admission is free. Bring money for candy and other goodies. Some vendors may accept credit cards.
