The American Conservatory Theater, located in the heart of the city at Union Square is a dream come true for all theater lovers alike. Founded in 1965, the theater believes in nurturing the art of live theater through dynamic productions and striking a rapport with the audience. Formerly known as the Geary theater, the American Conservatory has something for everyone. Right from the budding young performer to a professional artist, ACT provides the platform and the training for all alike. They have churned out some of the finest actors of our times such as Danny Glover, Annette Bening, Denzel Washington to name a few. Due to its captivating performances, ACT has gone on to be nationally acclimatized for classical works and bold contemporary playwriting.
