This festival is the only one in the Bay Area devoted to Arabic cinema and one of the few of its kind anywhere in the United States. Issues of family, nation, gender, and politics are presented in feature films, documentaries, and short films, many of which will not be seen anywhere else in this country. Another plus is that the filmmakers are usually on hand for interacting with the audience.
