A volley of events is lined up each February to coincide with the flowering of the beautiful Mimosa plant. This local festival has been organized in the port of Mandelieu la Napoule since 1836, when the plant was first brought from Australia. Every night a different event takes place in the town center. Around half the events are free of charge such as the wine tasting, a traditional market and local comedians. Other activities cost around EUR15 to get in, such as the evening operetta at the Palais des Congrés Europa in the center of town. See their website for event times.
