Owned by Rudolf Lietz, who has authored a coffee table book on 19th Philippine life as depicted in European prints of the same period, this gallery deals in antiquarian books published before 1900, along with map and prints, largely related to the Philippines, from the 16th to the 19th century. Many of the prints are wildly inaccurate in their depiction of local life and culture, but that only adds to their interest and appeal. They certainly make great conversation pieces, and anyone can appreciate the vivid imagination, fine craftsmanship, or unintended humor.
