This three-story building is hard to miss. The glass walls invitingly show off the unique and functional items for sale inside. Balikbayan (from balik (return) and bayan (homeland), a term for visiting or returning Filipinos residing abroad) carries a whole array of goodies such as hand-carved wooden home accessories, fine jusi fabrics, delicate mother-of-pearl pillboxes, ethnic coasters, colorful tapestries/table runners, capiz shell lamps, wrought iron wine racks, ceramic-bordered mirrors and even furniture sets. All products are designed by local artisans using indigenous raw materials.
