One of the finest English jewellers ever (actually owned by the Sultan of Brunei), Asprey & Garrard's have been royal jewellers since 1735 when Garrard founder George Wickes was appointed Royal Goldsmith by Frederick, Prince of Wales. It's a patronage that continues to the present day with the company holding Royal Warrants from the Queen, The Queen Mother and Prince Charles. Recently they were given the responsibility for making the diamond ring on the occasion of Prince Edward's engagement to Sophie Rhys-Jones. They will of course serve lesser mortals, but unless you earn a six-figure salary, forget it - luxury costs. Everything opulent is here, from a sterling silver computer mouse with accompanying red leather heart-shaped mouse mat, to sterling silver goblets and engagement rings with Asprey's signature setting.
