First quality antique furniture is displayed in a serene atmosphere. Different types of tansu chests and cabinets line the walls and are arranged artfully throughout a space that is the size of a warehouse. There are many woods (cedar, chestnut, ebony) to choose from and a variety of styles from very simple, zen-like lines, to elaborate altars with carved and gilded wood. The staff is gracious and welcomes browsers. Prices range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand for the tansu, and there also items vintage porcelain and iron floor lamps designed to look like ancient temple lanterns.
