Kuraya is a wonderful place to collect Japanese Art from. It stocks some of the finest in Japanese Antiques that are are directly shipped from Japan and are hand picked by experts. You can find a wide range on antiques from the 18th century. From antique tonsu chests, porcelains, religious items, folk crafts, screens and scrolls and textiles; there is a lot in store. Also look-out for wooden figurines, cupboards and pots. With such a wide collection, the store appears a bit crowded and customers could feel overwhelmed by the display. But all in all, a great place for those who like oriental artifacts especially Japanese in origin.
