A visit to Alberta is not complete without a stopover in the picturesque town of Cochrane, about an hour's drive northwest of Calgary. Cochrane is famous for its western-attired Main Street, complete with a saloon, their famous Mackay's Ice Cream, and the Old and Crafty Antiques and Gift Shop. Old and Crafty caters to hobbyists, crafters, novice collectors and art aficionados. A lot of people on their way to the Rocky Mountains like to take a stop at Cochrane, so this shop sees a lot of tourists on the weekends.
