This 18th Century theatre is famous for its period opera performances in summer. The theatre's authentic décor has made it a national treasure, and a prominent feature of UNESCO's world heritage list. The adjoining museum has a huge collection of Swedish theatre history, which contains records of the 17th Century costumes, set designs and scenery.
