This museum is dedicated to different aspects of what is known as 'candid or ingenuous art,' and includes ceramics, paintings and wood carvings. It is situated in the popular area of Petare, east of the city center, and is located in an 18th century building. In four different rooms, there are around 60 works being exhibited, completed by well-known ingenuous artists from both the past and the present. The permanent collection totals some 250 works. With each new exhibition, the museum offers educational programs, audiovisual presentations and guided tours. Space is also offered for local activities and artistic gatherings. Entrance is free.
