Since 1985, The Museum of Antigua & Barbuda has been run by the Historial & Archaeological Society, a non-profit organization. A walk through this special museum takes you on a walk through time, beginning with Antigua during its geological birth. In addition to the fascinating objects it has collected over time, the museum also houses an incredible reference library including many computer databases. The museum offers educational programs for local school children and there are lectures, field trips and newsletters for the general public. Admission is free, though visitors are encouraged to sign up for membership at a minimal cost to support the museum's efforts.
