The variety of contemporary works in the Rena Bransten Gallery feels surprisingly original in an increasingly saturated art world. Sure styles and genres look familiar, but check again. The dirty, 'Earth Works' of Vik Muniz may look like the real thing, but in fact they are minute renderings photographed to appear bigger than life. Feeling too big for your britches? The miniature porcelain sculptures by Ann Agee of colorfully rendered citizens in kitchy clothing are worth every single inch of their price tag. Barbie, move over.
