The descriptions of early scrolls dating from the 8th century remain—you can still catch fish in the lake and grill them for a feast. The inn offers guests a choice of well-equipped Japanese or Western-style rooms. Separate men's and women's hot-spring bathing facilities comprise modern indoor baths in large oval pools. Outside, next to the river, are two landscaped pools.
