The city's most luxurious and expensive hotel lies right in the center of Salzburg next to River Salzach. It was built in the 1960s and was refurbished some years ago, which considerably added to its status. Those who have money at their disposal love to stay here, especially when the Salzburg Festival is on. The rooms have a modem connection, anything else you may require and more. The Sacher's atmosphere is elegant and brings alive Salzburg's historical flair. Apart from the first-class restaurants inside the hotel, you'll also find Café Sacher, offering its world-famous Sachertorten (Sacher cake).
