yeah
cleanest beds ever very very very lovely location nice atmosphere thebest value ever dilectable breakfast and dinner has lotsof snacks cool nice pool games poker even though i went broke... its still good

A great place to stay
The Gran Melia is an excellent Hotel. The majoirty of the staff speak English and are more than willing to help. Room service is very fast and there is a great choice of restaurants to chose from all servicng good food.

As long as you stay inside...
I think that it is safe as long as you stay inside. The swimming pool was under maintenance when I was there, so, I did not have the chance to enjoy it. Wire-less internet is only available in the lobby and it is very slow. If you do not speak Spanish, It will be a big problem going out alone in this area. Driving in Caracas is very dangerous and boring.
