The Spaniard Marquise Francisco Pizarro built La Casa de los Cuatro Bustos (The House of Four Busts)—on Inca foundations—in the 16th century. This monumental structure was converted into a hotel, paying attention to every detail. Rooms are colonial-style, while the rest of the hotel preserves the aura of the ancient Incas, affording a palatial nobility with inviting comfort. Its privileged location between the ancient Templo del Sol and the Plaza de Armas adds to its mystique. The Peruvian Ministry of Tourism and Industry considers this the best five-star hotel in the city.
