Langley Castle is a genuine 14th century castle with seven foot thick walls that stands in well-kept wooded grounds near the village of Haydon Bridge. As well as the castle, two lodges in the grounds are also available to stay in, and have the advantage of spectacular views of the castle itself. The restaurant serves good quality food, specialising in fresh, locally caught fish and game. The panelled drawing room with its log fire is the perfect setting for the cocktail bar.
