This small but distinguished hotel at the upper end of Kurfürstendamm offers modern conveniences such as sound-proof windows in the rooms overlooking the main street. The name 'Avant garde' is actually slightly misleading, as the interior is characterised by classic 19th century features such as high stucco ceilings and tiled antique heaters.
