The Only Place I Will Stay in Area
From the funky elevator to the location within walking distance of the ferry, Amtrak, great restaurants and Square events I love this motel. It is away from the noise and crowded city and just a short walk to the water. I have stayed twice and have found the staff extremely courteous and helpful. Also, you can't beat the price.

I've heard nothing but good things
Something smells here and it's not the Inn at Jack London Square: "staff was rude and inconsiderate," "surly service person," "people at the front desk said hardly a thing to us," "do not expect friendly staff," "the front desk service was AWFUL," "not great staff," "no follow up was done by motel staff." Only one of six anonymous reviewers ("A Yahoo Contributor") is at all complimentary and a couple of others have no profile at Yahoo any more. Somebody (the competition, maybe?) is trying to stack the deck here.

Don't Be Fooled...Don't Stay Here
This hotel is not the Jack London Inn. It is really a Best Western who lost they name. When I got there I realized this wasn't the Inn we stay at every year. My wife booked and we wanted to go to the Jack London Inn and cancle here. The manager in charge was very rude to me and my wife and said I still have to pay even though he agrees there is a lot of problems cause they changed their name to sound like the Jack London Inn. I asked to talk to the owner and he said he won't do anything about it because it was him who changed the name.
