Situated directly opposite East Berlin's zoo (known as Tierpark Friedrichsfelde, and not "Zoo" which is in West Berlin), the hotel is perfect for families with kids. Built in typically uninspiring East German style, the hotel has recently been modernised according to contemporary tastes. All rooms are generously proportioned and well-furnished. Watch out though - prices go up during major trade fairs, which is a bit surprising because the hotel is a long way from the Exhibition Centre in Charlottenburg.
