This tiny pub on the western outskirts has won the ultimate accolade of Friendliest Pub In Bath and always extends a warm welcome to customers old and new. Dubious decor aside, its an ideal spot for a quick pint especially if you are traveling alone and feel the need for human contact. Theres a dartboard and pool table in the back room and food is served whenever the landlord can be bothered. Rooms are available above the pub and are cheap and functional. How cheap? That all depends on how much the landlord thinks that you can afford. Either way, you are guaranteed a warm welcome and a warm bed - but maybe not a hot meal.
