The tree-lined Cathedral Road, close to the city centre, boasts a wealth of hotels. Chalice Keep is one of the smaller ones and offers a very homely atmosphere. The decor and furnishings are more like you'd find at the start of the 20th century than the 21st, but the bedrooms do have modern conveniences such as wash basins, TV and tea and coffee making.
