Do not let the official-sounding name put you off; you do not have to arrive by ship to make use of the inexpensive accommodations at this seven-story hotel. It has been serving visitors to the city and providing a "community space" for local events since 1981. All rooms come with private bath/toilet, telephone, television, writing desk and dresser. The location is a bit farther from the waterfront than most "international seamen" might choose, but close enough for an easy stroll to Yamashita Park and the dock area, as well as the intrigues of Chinatown.
