So-named due to its location, right next to the River Avon, this B&B has been around for as long as anyone can remember (at least 21 years), so it must be doing something right. Small, friendly and full much of the time, it's especially popular with people staying for long periods of time. It's located on a busy main road, 10 minutes by foot from the city centre harbour area (where most of the action and some great attractions are these days), so is very handily-placed. Guests are given keys, so no need to worry about draconian curfews.
