This chain is popular with business travellers and tourists taking advantage of its cheap "leisure breaks" (usually weekend rooms at discounted prices). This branch is right in the middle of all the exciting new developments by the harbour - site of the At-Bristol complex and home to two art galleries, cafes and bars - a great, lively, central spot to stay. There are over 200 Travelodges in the UK and Ireland and they all look pretty much the same - clean, comfortable, respectable and slightly bland. If you're looking for character, try elsewhere. It can be a bargain though - you pay per room, not per person, so for a family of four staying in one of its family rooms, it works out as very reasonable.
