STF Stigbergsliden is probably the most beautiful hostel in Göteborg, being housed in an old, low stone building halfway up the steep Stigbergsliden hill. Their backyard is great for socialising in the summer. Unfortunately its prices are a little higher than those of most hostels in Gothenburg, but discounts are available if you are a member of Hostelling International or STF. You can hire bicycles at the hostel, and that is a great way to get around in the bike-friendly city. You can get here on trams 3, 4 or 9 to Stigbergstorget.
