This is Puerto Rican cuisine at its best. Attended personally by its owner Jesús Pérez, this fonda has an excellent Mofongo, a plantain treat. The house drink called 'The Chichaíto' is worth the trip, as it contains several secret delectable 'heady' ingredients. This establishment is so popular that gubernatorial candidates on the island traditionally visit it prior to the campaign! You can expect a long wait here; a testament to its popularity. Credit cards are not accepted. Authentically, Puerto Rican in its décor, the restaurant is housed in a traditional home in a working-class area.
