Lo Scugnizzo is just outside the city walls near the Exhibition Area. It is easy to reach and there is private parking. It offers cooking with recipes from all over Italy. The 100-seat restaurant is simply decorated but welcoming. It has a mega-screen for watching sports events on TelePiù. The chef in Neapolitan but the dishes comes from various parts of the country: tortelline and tigelle, Spaghetti allo scoglio (with shrimp, langoustine, mussels, squid, ocotpus), linguine sciuè sciuè,Baked Sea Bream with potatoes. An unusual item is Formaggio di Fossa made from Tuscan sheep cheese seasoned for 50 days in jute bags in ditches five meters deep, then eaten with honey and jam! The desserts are made on the premises.
