The back of the Trattoria Farfalla faces onto the Navile canal that once had a port but which is now almost completely covered from view. The trattoria has the charm and simplicity of the past in an area that is typical of old Bologna. It is situated between Via Righi and Via Marsala. The trattoria has two small rooms with 30 seats. There are dome vaults, a wine counter and some caricatures of the cook on the wall. The menu features traditional Bolognese cooking with fresh pasta, potato gnocchi in tomato sauce, Beef with Polenta and Tomato, Beef Tongue and Intestines, and Mixed Boiled Meats. Excellent homemade desserts.
