Born in Santa Cruz in 1981 and knee-deep in the surf culture, Pizza My Heart is true to its roots. Pizza combinations are named after surfer terms like Short Boarder and Pleasure Point. The walls are decorated with historic surfing photographs, competition posters and memorabilia. The pizzas are generous in size with a thin crust and fresh toppings. There are 24 combinations to choose from including the Santa Cruz Special (spinach, mushrooms, and onions). It also serves salads and calzones. The staff is easygoing and friendly, tossing dough by hand to classic surfer tunes and new punk favorites.
