One almost expects some corseted ladies to walk in at Barbara's. Everything about the decor (ornate mirrors and the like) harks back to the 19th century. The culinary offerings are based on traditional Filipino and Spanish cuisine. Seafood Amelie (scallops, shrimps and crabmeat in baked pastry and served with medallions of beef) is highly recommended. Savor it with French, Italian or Californian wine. Other drinks are also available.
