The low ceiling of this place, and its wooden tables and benches establish a beer-hall atmosphere, and perhaps also the illusion that you are outdoors when actually indoors. The menu is simple, with plenty of meat, a little fish, a little pasta and a few smaller dishes. Drinks and ice creams are always included in the children's menu. Happy Hour takes place every day between 3p and 10p, when a large draught beer costs SEK25 (EUR2.95). Live music is played every Friday and Saturday. Ada's hardly belongs to the crème de la crème of Gothenburg's restaurant life, but offers inexpensive, good food and quick service for those undeterred by cluttered walls and a large, rowdy bar. The nearest tram stop is Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen, served by tramlines 2 and 5 and plenty of buses.
average cost: SEK 220
