This is the real Berlin: In an Old Berlin cellar restaurant you can sit in a cosy atmosphere scoffing Schmalzstullen (bread and lard) for 25 Pfennigs apiece - and this has been going since 1885! You can see still the real Berliners, those who have not been driven out of this somewhat strange neighbourhood of street prostitutes and drug dealers. Even the menu looks rather confusing, offering a weird mixture of Old Berlin, Greek and steak cuisine. Popular choices include Herrentoast with onions and cheese and the Minced Steak with Chanterelles.
