This event has been a fixture on Berlin's busy trade fair calendar since 1926. Berliners love it - not because they are interested in who has grown the largest marrow - but because of the chance to gorge at will on the huge selection of freebie food. Trade fair organizers, however, prefer to advertise it as a modern, ecologically conscious meeting place for producers and consumers. The event features over 60 countries presenting their wares throughout the exhibition center's 26 halls.
