Every year approximately 60,000 visitors descend on Balmoral for Ulster's premier agricultural show. Every kind of animal competition imaginable is hosted here, from sheep shearing and sheepdog trials, to show jumping and dog shows. Agricultural produce is on sale along with the latest agricultural machinery. There are plenty of side acts to keep your children interested, including a dramatic bird of prey display and flame throwing. Expect other oddities along with horticultural fare: a tower of six people riding on one motorbike has been known to make an appearance.
