Arguably the world's most prestigious and important vehicle exhibition, the Auto Show is the Motor City's chance to show off its top products to the world. It is a dazzling display of the latest models and automotive innovations. Since 1989, it has hosted more than 620 vehicle introductions. It attracts close to a million visitors over its nine days in mid-January. Forty manufacturers put about 750 vehicles on display. There is plenty of glitz and glamor, but the emphasis is on the products, and it is a car-lover's candy store.
