Tokyo motor shows are not quite what they used to be during the heady days of the "bubble" economy, when new car models were coming out one after another and foreign luxury brands were starting to sell like hotcakes. That said, the shows still make for an interesting day. Perhaps not as interesting to the home consumer market, the event still makes for a fun day out with plenty to do and see. Tuesday and Wednesday are reserved for the press and special guests only. The general public is welcome Thursday through Sunday.
