If you love fruit, or suddenly develop a craving for it, head straightaway for San Andres Market. Imported apples, oranges, pears and grapes are arrayed alongside such native offerings as bananas, mangoes, papayas, custard apples and pineapples. Durian, known as the "king of fruits" but whose smell makes it abhorrent to some, is seasonally available. The stalls are always open, so you can come here to gorge on fruit at any hour of day or night. Do not hesitate to bargain,that too is part of the pleasure of shopping here.
