This market, established in 1888, is now a national heritage listed building. It was totally refurbished in 1998 and now, the old architecture and the new technology blend seamlessly. There is customer parking, and the market has shopping trolleys, a cash-dispenser and a bakery. All the shops provide a home-delivery service. There are all kinds of stalls: fruit, dairy, meats, fish, flowers, electrical goods and even a supermarket.
