Taking a taxi may be a bit more expensive than riding the bus, but it is far more efficient. All rates are fixed by the government at US$2.20 for the first 1/4 mile and US$0.30 per additional 1/4 mile. You should have no problem hailing a cab within the city. Tips of 15% are customary. Be sure to settle on a fare with your driver before embarking upon on a long trip.
