When hailing a taxi in the city, the first thing you should make sure of is that the driver speaks English. Most do not speak English - nor do they know the names of major roads, and some are unofficial taxi drivers, so be warned. There are a host of Pakistani and Indian drivers that are English-speaking, so it’s a better bet to hire them. In the city, taxis charge SR5 for a nearby drop off, and SR20 for driving to the city outskirts.
