Getting to central Cardiff by bus is very easy - there are regular services from all areas of the city into the centre. Traveling from one outlying area to another can be more difficult and it is very often easier to come into the city centre and change buses there. Fares are charged by zone and for journeys within the city the exact money is required - no change is given. The only bus company operating within the city is Cardiff Bus. Other bus companies run their services into Cardiff from Newport and the valleys, terminating in the central bus station. For longer journeys, National Express coaches depart from the bus station to all areas of the UK including Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
