The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey runs the PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) subway system from New York City to cities in northern New Jersey. Trains run 24 hours, but the schedule is limited late at night. There are stops in Manhattan along Sixth Avenue at 33rd, 23rd, 14th and 9th streets, as well as Christopher Street in the West Village. The World Trade Center is accessible along a different PATH line. The one-way fare for PATH train service is $1.50 for adults.
