There are two main bus companies in operation in Belfast: Citybus (red) and Ulsterbus (blue). Citybus services the city and its suburbs and also operates tourist tours of Belfast. Fares on standard journeys are staggered according to distance, but discount multi-journey tickets may be purchased in advance from the Citybus kiosk in Donegall Square West. Most Citybus services operate every 20 minutes and depart from the four streets surrounding the City Hall. Information and timetables can also be obtained from the kiosk, open 9a-6p Monday to Saturday. Ulsterbus services the whole of Northern Ireland, so if you wish to travel to any of the further Belfast suburbs or beyond you need to catch one of these blue buses. You cannot get off an Ulsterbus within city limits. The main Ulsterbus station is the Europa Buscentre beside the Europa Hotel, where further information and timetables may be obtained.
