Though foreign visitors are generally not encouraged to use Manila's public transport, the MRT (Metro Rail Transit) is one recommendable exception. The MRT (also known as Metrostar Express) runs along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), the main artery of the metropolis, from 6a-10p. Besides the comfort of riding in air-conditioned and spotlessly clean trains, the MRT provides passengers the luxury of avoiding Manila's notorious traffic. Among the 13 stops are Ayala Center, Ortigas Center and Araneta Center, the city's leading business and commercial hubs. Fittingly, Ayala Station reflects Ayala Center's contemporary sense of style.
