The fastest and easiest way to get around Paris is by using the subway. The city's 108-year-old underground rail system issues individual tickets, each valid for one journey, which are also accepted by the Metro, RER, buses and trams within Paris and in the suburbs close-by. You can also buy a ‘carnet’, a booklet of 10 single tickets, for frequent subway travel.
