Fiumicino, also called Leonardo da Vinci, is a thoroughly modern airport. As you would expect for one of most popular tourist destinations in the world, just about everyone traveling in and around Europe, the Middle East or the Far East will eventually pass through da Vinci. There are four multi-story garages, all connected to the terminals via walkways. Shuttle buses operate between the long-term garage and Terminals A, B and C. The service is free and operates every 15 minutes until 11pm and every 20 minutes overnight. By far the best way into town is by train. You have the option of taking the Leonardo Express direct to Termini - every 30 minutes from early morning to about 11pm, EUR8.78 – or the slower train to Tiburtina Station for EUR4.65. Free shuttle bus service between all terminals and the garage every 15 minutes; every 20 minutes overnight. The new Terminal A has a large food court and three bars. There are no fancy amenities here, only the basics. Post Office, an Executive center, a nursery, VIP lounges and lounges for the disabled. Head to Terminal A for shopping and the food court.
