The Metro is the lifeline of Paris city. One of the stations that falls along its route is Abbesses, which is a deep station in Paris, about 100 feet under the ground. The station's entrance has been designed by Hector Guimard, whose creations are world famous. Though the station was in duress, the renovations done by the RATP have restored the station to its original condition. The name Abbesses is quite popular as it has appeared in movies, cartoons and also as a line of Louis Vuitton bags.
